The Play Kitchen.

We're making a kitchen...on a smaller scale!  We are going to turn a pile of pine into a refrigerator, stove, and sink for Will and Josie.

We bought the wood on Monday and Brad cut the pieces.  I spent some time yesterday and today doing some medium sanding.  I need to sand it all with fine sandpaper and then we can put it together.

Here's our inspiration picture from www.ana-white.com:

 And more of the details...

Color: Glidden Deepest Aqua (will also be coating it with high gloss lacquer)

Stove and oven knobs (available at Home Depot):

Sink (a dog dish from Target) and faucet (Home Depot):

The cutting and sanding are done, so today was time to assemble.  Brad completed the entire stove/oven and part of the sink.  Once the sink and fridge are finished we'll paint, lacquer, and add the final accessories.

Brad has made some amazing progress this weekend and is almost ready to turn it over to me to finish up!  He needs to attach the doors to the sink and then it's over to me to paint.  Once I paint and lacquer we'll attach the plexiglass in the oven door, put on the tile backsplash, and PLAY, PLAY, PLAY!

The tile for the backsplash (Home Depot):

The sink (doors to be attached):

The sink and the oven:

All three!
